Role Summary

As the East Africa Office Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth, leading operational execution, managing financial performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the East Africa region. This strategic leadership position requires an experienced professional with strong commercial acumen and operational expertise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development

• Develop and implement robust sales strategies to achieve revenue growth across East Africa.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the regional sales team to meet or exceed revenue targets and KPIs.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners.

2. Operations Management

• Oversee and coordinate daily operations to promote efficiency and support cross-functional collaboration.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and produce actionable market intelligence.

3. Financial Management

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for the East Africa office.

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership.

4. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with local regulatory frameworks, laws, and internal policies.

• Serve as the primary liaison with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or related leadership roles within East Africa.

• Strong understanding of the East African market, regulatory environment, and business ecosystem.

• Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and managing teams.

• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Swahili is preferred.

• Help clients post and optimize their listings for jobs, vehicles, property, mobile phones for sale and more.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Promote SanaList across social media, email and other digital channels to drive traffic and sign‑ups.
• Meet or exceed monthly targets related to new client acquisition, listings created and revenue generated.
• Provide feedback from the market to help improve the SanaList platform and services.

Requirements

• Strong interest in sales, marketing, e‑commerce or online shopping in Kenya.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (written and spoken).
• Confident using the internet, social media and basic computer tools.
• Self‑driven, disciplined and able to work independently from home.
• Access to a computer/smartphone and reliable internet connection.
• Prior experience in sales, telemarketing, digital marketing, real estate, automotive sales or classifieds is an added advantage but not mandatory.
